Ordu<\/strong> \ud83e\udd8b<\/p>\n<p>The Berlin female multicultural formation FREE SPIRITZ was founded by the Nigerian-German singer <strong>Angela Ordu<\/strong> and has fun transforming many musical styles, their own compositions and well-known songs from Nigeria, Ghana &amp; Brazil into groovy, danceable music. Angela writes Reggae and Afrobeat songs, including her own lyrics.<br \/>\nAfter the concerts there are usually \u201c<strong>Ladies Jam Sessions<\/strong>\u201d.<br \/>\n<strong>Angela Ordu<\/strong> toured Europe and the USA in the 90s (via Sony) and reached the US charts with &#8220;Rhythm Of Love&#8221;. At the age of 35, she suffered a stroke and the autoimmune disease <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Lupus_erythematodes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>LUPUS<\/strong><\/a>, which forced her to interrupt her career for many years.<br \/>\nShe is now celebrating her comeback.<br \/>\nFREE SPIRITZ is represented by <a href=\"https:\/\/pincmusic.net\/bands\/angela-ordu-free-spiritz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>PINC MUSIC<\/strong><\/a>, the platform for inclusive music, a project by <a href=\"https:\/\/handiclapped-berlin.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Handiclapped<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Angela Chinyere Ordu<\/strong>, also known as <strong>Chi Chi Ordu<\/strong> and <strong>January Ordu<\/strong>, was born in Saarbr\u00fccken in 1971 with Igbo-Nigerian parents and began singing before she could walk&#8230; She spent her childhood and youth between Germany, the USA, Nigeria and Great Britain. Back in Germany in the early 1990s, she played in a cover band for five years while studying business administration in Frankfurt am Main and began writing songs.<br \/>\nWith the name <strong>Chi Chi Ordu<\/strong> she sang for BG Prince of Rap, whose music was produced by JAM and SPOON with the songs Round And Round, Walk Over The Rainbow and on his album The Time Is Now, worked with music producer GABRIEL GROH (Ohne Dich ) and GEORGE BRASCH (Realize, In Your Eyes). In Berlin and worked with the DJ Company name \u201cJanuary Ordu\u201d, whose music was produced by PAUL STRAND, STEFAN BENZ and LOUIS LASKY, got a contract with MARIAH CAREY&#8217;s label CRAVE. Together they toured Europe and the USA (via Sony) in 1997-98 and reached the<strong> US charts with &#8220;Rhythm Of Love&#8221;<\/strong>.<br \/>\nAfter her return to Germany, she worked with music producer MARTIN DE VRIES under the name \u201cJanuary\u201d and received a contract with \u201cUniversal\u201d in 1999; the single One Love was successful in the German charts.<br \/>\nIn the 2000s she worked with CHIMA ONYELE: Das Licht, BROTHERS KEEPERS Lightkultur, (Downbeat), MATTHIAS TRIPPNER: Gray Cat, SISTERS KEEPERS Love and Mind\u00a0(Echo beach), JAN DELAY, SAM RAGGA BAND and with the KATJA RIEMANN OCTET.<\/p>\n<p>Angela founded her own formations, the \u201cQUEENSLAND BAND\u201d, in collaboration with HENRY MEX (African Lady), remixed by JONAS HAMMOND. In the summer of 2014 she celebrates her comeback with the QUEENSLAND BAND: concerts \u201cCharit\u00e9 World-LUPUS-Tag\u201d, \u201cFete de la Musique Berlin\u201d, Jazzsommer Berlin, Kreuzberg Festival and many more.<\/p>\n<p>In 2018 she formed \u201cQUEENSLAND SINGERS\u201d \u2013 Friederike Boguslawski, Kaisha Jones and Valerie Djuhuurs.
